John Zaffis was born in Connecticut in 1955 and is considered one of the foremost authorities in the paranormal field. With over 30 years under his belt and helping with thousandths of cases, he has been dubbed by the paranormal community as the “Godfather of the Paranormal.”

John considered himself a skeptic until the night that changed his view on the paranormal. The experience that peaked his interest was when he was 16 years old, he saw an apparition at the foot of his bed shaking its head back and forth. He found out from his mother that when his grandfather was alive he would always shake his head when he was upset. Shortly after, his grandmother, who lived with his family passed away. This experience changed his life and he began research the paranormal.

He spent his younger years studying and being guided by his aunt and uncle, famous Demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Warrens are most famously known for investigating the case of the Amityville Horror. While being mentored by the Warrens, his interest shifted from ghost and hauntings to Demonology.  When he became involved in possession and exorcism, he worked with many individuals, such as well known Bishop Robert McKenna and Malachi Martin.

His work and knowledge has taken him all over the world, helping many people with supernatural occurrences. His cases have dealt with everything from poltergeist to the diabolical. In 1998, John started The Paranormal Research Society of New England (PRSNE) and he also runs the Paranormal Museum which is filled with relics and items that are believed to be haunted or cursed that have been removed from clients’ homes.

He has been featured on numerous documentaries such as “Children of the Grave”, “Unsolved Mysteries” and “A Haunting”, which was recently turned into a movie, A Haunting in Connecticut. He has also been featured on many radio shows and popular paranormal television shows such as Ghost Hunters on the SyFy Channel, Paranormal State on A&E & “Ghost Adventures” on the Travel Channel. He wrote and published his first book “Shadows of the Dark” in 2004 and has since also released another book called “ The World Within”. He is also currently working on several projects, such as “The Haunted Collector” which he stars in on the SyFy Channel as well as doing lectures and attending many paranormal retreats & events across the country.

John Zaffis has become one of the most well known, loved and respected individuals of the paranormal field today.
