What are these strange sounds?
I have seen this being reported for a few weeks now but honestly I never checked it out myself. It wasn’t until today when WBAB, a local radio station here on Long Island, had it up on their website and I decided to check it out.
This video takes me back to one of the most eerie sounds in any movie I have ever seen. The movie ‘Legion’ when Gabriel is descending to earth and the eerie trumpet is announcing his arrival. Honestly, I nearly soiled myself and that was a movie! Here, thousands of people have heard the same sound throughout the world, although, I, myself, did not which is probably a good thing! So what are your thoughts? Natural explanation or otherwise?

Sounds almost like vehicles driving over steel grating.
It is hard to tell. I have heard many explanations one of which I am leaning toward. Around 1/22/12 a massive solar storm hit Earth causing a lot of planes to reroute and causing havoc. It was around this same time these sounds occurred. Could this be what caused it? Possibly…but I am not an Astrophysicist as much as I would love to be one.
definitely captured while under an overpass and aiming into the woods… truck tires on typical metal gratings.
