Does LIPRI charge for investigations?

LIPRI has never and will never charge for any of the services provided. We take great pride in helping our clients, peers, and anyone else free of charge.

What is LIPRI's approach to investigations and their research?

Our approach is that of a scientific view point. While we understand that there aren’t any items of equipment that can detect ghosts, we use the equipment to test and log environmental factors in comparison to and debunking alleged paranormal activity. We truly believe that 90% of alleged paranormal activity falls under normal circumstances.

How discreet and confidential are LIPRI's investigations?

LIPRI truly value and respect their clients greatly and sympathize when someone truly needs help with a paranormal situation. We also understand that a lot of people out there who are experiencing these issues want to protect their privacy as much as possible and we can give that to them. All information obtained from the client, investigation details and evidence gathered remains strictly confidential and private.

Does LIPRI use psychics on investigations?

LIPRI does not use anyone with mediumistic abilities. This is not to say we wouldn’t, but finding an individual who is legit is a rare feat in itself.

Can LIPRI rid a home/business of spirit/ghosts?

No. LIPRI does not do banishings, blessings or cleansing of any location. We do, however, work closely with individuals who are qualified and experienced in such things if a client were to need it or request it.

>Does LIPRI investigate out of state private residences or businesses?

LIPRI will travel wherever needed in order to help people with paranormal issues. If we are not available for an out of state investigation, we refer the case to a well trusted organization that is local to the client. But prior to the referral, we will get the client’s permission first to protect their privacy.

How often does LIPRI update their website?

We update our website at least once a week or depending on the amount of information that comes in from the team. All members contribute via articles and miscellaneous research. We feel that education is important in this field.

Where is all the evidence on your site?

Any evidence LIPRI obtains from an investigation must be approved by the home owner or business owner prior to posting it on our website. Some of our clients request that we don’t release the evidence to protect their privacy. We choose not to display the infamous “orb” photos as we believe they are not a true representation of a spirit and/or ghost but simply dust or other natural anomalies such as moisture, pollen, bugs, etc.

Does LIPRI work with the media?

LIPRI have been featured on familiar podcasts and are willing to work with media in the future.

At the current time, no we do not. We are still in the process of organizing our team to be as educated as we can be with new members currently rolling in. We do look forward to performing lectures in the near future though.

Does LIPRI hold any charitable events?

Yes, LIPRI has held charitable events in the past. The last two were for Toys for Tots and for the restoration of The Shanley Hotel in Napanoch, NY. We love giving back to the community and we plan on hosting several more in 2011!

How does one become a full time member of LIPRI?

First, look to see if LIPRI is currently accepting membership at the time. If we are, then apply using our membership application page. Once we receive your application, we will review it and schedule an interview date. If everything goes according to plan and is accepted, the applicant will then be placed on a 3-6 month probationary period. The probationary period lasts as long as it takes to educate and train the applicant. Once the applicant has completed the training, they will become full time members.

How do I become a professional paranormal investigator?

Simply put, you can’t become a professional paranormal investigator. While you can be professional in your work ethic and how you investigate, this is not a profession nor can you get certified. There is no special school for the paranormal or course you can take to become a “certified” or a “professional”. This is not an exact science nor can you be paid for your services.
