Unity in the Community

With the paranormal field becoming more mainstream, thanks to the likes of Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, Ghost Adventures, etc., it seems like there is more “competition” between veteran paranormal investigators/groups and amateur investigators/groups. Let’s get one thing straight, no one should be in the paranormal field to gain any sort of notoriety.

Charging for an Investigation

One of the most popular questions I’ve gotten as a paranormal investigator is “how much do you charge?” I usually just chuckle and say “Nothing.” But it got me thinking about all of those groups out there that actually do charge. For those unfamiliar with the paranormal field and are frightened of what they might be experiencing, it is very easy to fall victim to one of these groups.

Orbs

Whenever someone presents pictures claiming to be filled with orbs, an inevitable eye-roll from a true investigator/researcher is sure to follow. Many amateur paranormal thrill-seekers feel that orbs are a sure sign of spirit contact. Well I hate to bust your orb bubble, but it’s not true.

I’m sure we’ve all been there; a friend’s house for a sleep over or maybe a Halloween party. Someone brings out the Ouija board and thinks it would be fun to try and contact a dead celebrity or perhaps a dead loved one. Most of the time, we’re young and don’t know any better and just want a good scare. This might seem innocent enough and you try it out. What’s the worst that can happen, right?

Movie Review: Paranormal Entity

As I browsed through Netflix looking for a good movie to watch, I came across Paranormal Entity. I read the short synopsis of it and decided to give it a shot (I love instant streaming!). For those who thought Paranormal Activity was the “scariest movie of all time,” I can assure you that this movie will send you hiding under your covers for years to come.

For Entertainment Purposes

Years ago, the paranormal was a taboo subject. With the recent influx of paranormal television shows, this field has been thrown into the spotlight. Although this can prove to be a good thing (people are more inclined to share experiences and not feel like they’re “crazy”), these shows shouldn’t be taken very seriously…
